Phew!  It’s been a crazy weekend for us, but the fun just keeps coming.  If you’re new to the blog, you should also look at the “What About TODAY?” link to your right for other regularly scheduled events along with these special ones.

The Union College Chorale has a free concert today (I know—sorry for the late notice) at 3 pm.

Monday, February 8th

  • The Little Book House will have a Storytime with Candy Deisley at 11 am.
  • The Mont Pleasant Library is hosting a Teen Fun event for grades 6 to 10 at 3:30, and After School with Valentine Pop-Up Creations for the K-5 set at 4:15 pm.

Tuesday, February 9th

  • Learn about tracking animals at Moreau Lake State Park, from 10 am to noon.
  • There’s free music at noon at the Troy Music Hall.
  • At 4 pm, the Niskayuna Library is having a Valentine’s Extravaganza! for grades K-5, but you must pre-register. Registration’s already begun, so if you think you want to do it, call right now.
  • The Clifton Park-Halfmoon Library has a variety of drop-in programs today. There are story times for 4- to 6-year-olds at 10:15 am or 1:15 pm, or a Pajama Story Time for 2- to 6-year-olds at 5:45 or 6:30 pm.

  • Take a walk in the woods at 10 am at Thacher Park.
  • There’s a Nature Valentine Craft at Saratoga Spa State Park at 11 am.
  • The Duane Library is hosting a Teen Fun event for grades 6 to 10 at 3:30, and After School with Valentine Pop-Up Creations for the K-5 set at 4:15 pm.
  • At 4 pm, the Glenville Library is having a Valentine’s Extravaganza! for grades K-5, but you must pre-register. Registration’s already begun, so if you think you want to do it, call right now.
  • Schenectady Museum‘s FETCH! Lab is Crazy About Kites this week. It’s Thursday through Saturday, 2:30-4 pm, and it’s free with museum admission.
